Introduction to Virtual Production was a free interactive webinar organised as part of the DIGITALENT Academy programme.
The session introduced participants to the basic principles of virtual production, LED stages, real-time environments, and new production workflows that are changing the audiovisual industry. It was designed as an open online entry point for filmmakers, producers, students, and creative professionals interested in understanding how virtual production works in practice.
During the webinar, participants explored how LED volumes, Unreal Engine, camera tracking, virtual locations, and AI-assisted tools can support more flexible, sustainable, and collaborative production processes. The session also opened a discussion on the skills needed for the future of European audiovisual production.
