1. Introduction
These General Terms and Conditions govern the use of the DIGITALENT website and participation in DIGITALENT training activities, including online courses, bootcamps, events, and related services.
By accessing this website or registering for DIGITALENT activities, you agree to these General Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or register for the programme.
2. About DIGITALENT
DIGITALENT is a European professional training initiative developed under the Creative Europe MEDIA “Skills and Talent Development” framework. The programme is delivered by a consortium of partner organisations across Europe.
DIGITALENT provides training in virtual production, real-time filmmaking, and related digital workflows for graduates and audiovisual professionals.
3. Use of the Website
You may use the DIGITALENT website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:
misuse the website or its content
attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems or data
interfere with the website’s operation or security
submit false or misleading information
DIGITALENT reserves the right to restrict or suspend access to the website if these terms are breached.
4. Registration and Participation
Registration may be required to access certain DIGITALENT activities or content. When registering, you agree to provide accurate and complete information.
Participation in training activities may be subject to additional conditions, eligibility criteria, or selection processes, which will be communicated separately where applicable.
DIGITALENT reserves the right to refuse or cancel participation where requirements are not met or where conduct is incompatible with the programme’s aims.
5. Fees, Access Duration, Cancellations and Financial Support
5.1 Fees and Participation Types
Some DIGITALENT activities may involve participation fees, while others may be offered with financial support or scholarships under the Creative Europe MEDIA framework.
Participants may take part as:
paid participants, or
scholarship-supported participants, subject to separate eligibility and selection criteria.
Participation is not guaranteed until registration, payment, or selection has been confirmed, as applicable.
5.2 Access to Paid Online Content
Access to paid online courses, digital learning materials, recordings, and related online content is granted for a fixed period of twelve (12) months from the date access is activated, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
After this period, access expires automatically and does not renew unless explicitly offered by DIGITALENT. Certificates and records of completed activities remain accessible after access expiry.
5.3 Cancellations and Refunds
Online Courses and Digital Content
Due to the digital nature of online content and immediate access upon activation, fees for paid online courses are generally non-refundable once access has been granted, except where mandatory consumer protection law applies.
Bootcamps and In-Person Activities
If a paid participant cancels their participation:
cancellations made more than 30 days before the scheduled start date may be eligible for a refund, minus any non-refundable administrative or processing costs, where applicable
cancellations made 30 days or less before the start date are non-refundable, as organisational, contractual, and production costs will already have been incurred
If DIGITALENT cancels or substantially reschedules an activity, participants will be offered either:
a full refund, or
the option to transfer participation to a future activity, where feasible.
Exceptional Circumstances
Refund requests based on exceptional circumstances (such as serious illness or force majeure) may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Supporting documentation may be requested.
5.4 Scholarships and Financial Support
Participation supported through scholarships or other forms of financial support is not subject to refunds, unless explicitly stated otherwise in the specific scholarship conditions.
Scholarship-supported participation may be subject to additional obligations, reporting requirements, or attendance conditions, which will be communicated separately.
5.5 Refund Requests
All cancellation or refund requests must be submitted in writing to:
info@digitalent.academy.
Requests should include the participant’s name, registered email address, and the relevant activity.
Nothing in this section limits or excludes statutory consumer rights under applicable EU or national law.
6. Intellectual Property
All content published on the DIGITALENT website, including text, graphics, logos, videos, and training materials, is protected by intellectual property laws.
Unless otherwise stated, content is owned by DIGITALENT or its partners and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, or reused without prior written permission.
Participants may be granted limited rights to use training materials for personal and educational purposes only.
7. User Content
Where participants submit content as part of training activities, they retain ownership of their work unless otherwise agreed.
By submitting content, participants grant DIGITALENT and its partners the right to use such content for programme-related purposes, including evaluation, reporting, and non-commercial communication, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
8. Availability and Changes
DIGITALENT aims to keep the website and training activities accurate and up to date. However, uninterrupted access or error-free content cannot be guaranteed.
DIGITALENT reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel activities, content, or schedules where necessary, including for technical, organisational, or unforeseen reasons.
9. Liability
DIGITALENT takes reasonable care to provide accurate information and quality training. Participation is at the participant’s own risk.
DIGITALENT and its partners are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, technical issues, or disruptions beyond reasonable control, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for personal injury or other rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. Data Protection and Cookies
Personal data is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. By using the website or registering for activities, you acknowledge that your data will be handled as described in those policies.
11. Creative Europe MEDIA Funding
DIGITALENT is co-funded by the Creative Europe MEDIA programme of the European Union.
Participation fees, scholarships, and programme structures are designed in accordance with the applicable Grant Agreement and related EU funding rules. Nothing in these General Terms shall be interpreted in a way that conflicts with the obligations arising from the Grant Agreement.
The views expressed in DIGITALENT activities and materials are those of the organisers and participants and do not necessarily reflect the views of the European Union.
12. Governing Law
These General Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and applicable national laws of the consortium partners, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection provisions.
13. Changes to These Terms
DIGITALENT may update these General Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be published on the website.
